I do this too!

I have a vizsla mix and she’s really helped me be more social in my hood. She’s leash reactive, so I often steer clear of other dogs when she’s too excited, but we’ve made a few friends! It’s hilarious to brain-storm with folks from 20 ft away about “dog-meet-dog” logistics.

Her daily routine also gives me structure and exercise, which gives me more energy to be social. Plus, our relationship is fantastic and I’ll talk to her on walks / when I’m cleaning, brushing my teeth, etc. If you’ve got a super affectionate girl like mine, cuddling can 100% fix random onslaughts of loneliness. She’s a friend, a hiking partner, the best conversation starter I have, a pain in my ass, and the love of my life ❤

Were you just curious, or thinking about adopting a dog of your own?
